Reading Your Dashboard: Comparing Carrier Offers

Once your load is unlocked and posted, carriers start calling the AI voice agent around the clock. Every one of those calls flows into your dashboard in real time. This tutorial walks you through the screen offer by offer, so you know exactly where to look when you're ready to book.

Open your active load at broker.fifthwheel.ai and follow along. We'll start at the top and work down.

1. The KPI Strip

Across the top of the load view sits a row of key metrics—your at-a-glance summary of how the load is performing. You don't have to read individual calls to know whether the offers are coming in strong. Here's what each metric means:

  • Calls — how many inbound calls have been logged against this load so far.
  • Best Offer — the lowest carrier rate you've received. This is the number you're trying to beat.
  • Left — how many calls remain. Each load includes up to 20 inbound calls, so this counts down as carriers dial in.
  • Carriers — the count of unique carriers who have called, so repeat calls from the same MC don't inflate your sense of demand.
  • Offer Rate % — the share of calls that actually produced a rate. A high percentage means callers are serious; a low one means a lot of hang-ups or questions without quotes.
  • Range — the spread between your best and worst offer. A wide range tells you there's room to negotiate; a tight one means the market has settled.

Just below the metrics is a call-usage progress bar—for example, 7 / 20—so you can see how much of your call allowance the load has consumed. When the bar is nearly full, it's a signal to review your offers and make a decision.

2. The Live Call Strip

When a carrier is on the line right now, a red LIVE / Recording row appears near the top of the dashboard, complete with a live waveform that moves as the caller speaks.

Click the row to open it and follow the conversation as it happens. You'll watch the AI agent collect the carrier's MC number, offered rate, truck location, and available date in real time. This is useful when you're waiting on a specific lane and want to know the moment a competitive rate lands—you don't have to wait for the call to finish before you start reacting.

3. The Inbound Calls Table

This is the heart of the dashboard. Every completed call becomes a row here, and the table updates in real time as new offers arrive—no refreshing required. There are four columns:

  • Status — where the call stands (live, completed, and whether the rate is in range or above target).
  • MC — the carrier's motor carrier number, which you'll use later for vetting.
  • Phone — the number the carrier called from.
  • Rate — the rate the carrier offered on this call.

Color tells you the story

The Rate column is color-coded against the Target Rate you set when you created the load:

  • Green means the offer is In Range—at or under your Target Rate. These are the offers worth your attention.
  • Amber means the offer is Above Target—it came in higher than what you set. Not necessarily a dead end, but a rate you'd want to negotiate down.

Because the coloring is automatic, you can scan a long list of calls and instantly see which offers clear your bar without doing any math.

Filter pills and search

Above the table, a set of filter pills lets you narrow the list with one click:

  • All — every call.
  • Live — calls happening right now.
  • Completed — calls that have finished.
  • In Range — only offers at or under your Target Rate.
  • Above Target — only offers over your Target Rate.

Tap In Range and the noise disappears—you're left with just the offers you'd actually consider. Next to the pills is a search box that matches on phone number, MC, carrier name, truck location, or notes. If you're trying to find a specific carrier who called earlier, or every truck sitting in a particular city, search gets you there fast.

When no calls have come in yet, the table shows an empty state: "No calls received yet — when carriers call, their offers will appear here in real-time." As soon as the first carrier dials in, that placeholder is replaced by a live row.

4. Opening a Call Details Drawer

A rate in a table row is a starting point, but before you book you'll want the full picture. Click any call row and a Call Details side drawer slides in with everything the AI captured on that call:

  • Timestamp — when the call came in.
  • Caller phone — the carrier's number.
  • Offered rate — the quoted rate, front and center.
  • Status pills — In Range or Above Target, so the drawer reinforces where this offer stands.
  • Duration — how long the call lasted.
  • Summary — a short recap of the conversation so you can grasp it at a glance.
  • Transcript — the full, word-for-word record of the call.
  • Recording — an audio player so you can listen to the carrier in their own words.

The Summary is your quick read; the Transcript is where you confirm the details that matter—equipment, availability, any conditions the carrier mentioned. If you want to paste those details into an email, a TMS note, or a message to a colleague, use the Copy Transcript button to grab the whole thing in one click.

5. Spotting the Best Offer Quickly

Put it all together and finding your best carrier takes seconds, not scrolling. Here's the workflow we'd suggest:

  1. Glance at Best Offer in the KPI strip to see the lowest rate on the board.
  2. Click the In Range filter pill to hide everything above your Target Rate.
  3. Scan the green rates in the Inbound Calls table—these are all live, qualified options.
  4. Open the Call Details drawer on your top candidates to confirm the summary, read the transcript, and listen to the recording.
  5. Grab the MC number so you can run your own carrier vetting and compliance before you commit.

From there, booking happens off the platform. Fifth Wheel captures the interest and the negotiated rate; it doesn't book the load or run compliance for you. Once you've picked the best In Range offer and vetted the carrier by their MC, follow up with them directly to lock it in. When the load is booked, archive it and create your next one—your archived loads stay in the loads sidebar if you ever need to look back.

The Payoff

The whole point of the dashboard is to turn a flood of phone calls into a clean, comparable list. Instead of scribbling rates on sticky notes and hoping you remember who quoted what, you get every offer in one place, color-coded, searchable, and backed by a transcript. When it's time to book, you're choosing the best option—not just the first one that called.

See Every Offer in One Place

Fifth Wheel captures every carrier call automatically and lays the offers side by side so you can compare and book the best one.
